Frequently Asked Questions

Who can access Drive HGV recruitment support?

Our recruitment support is exclusively available to candidates who have completed their HGV training through Drive HGV. This allows us to confidently recommend drivers we know have been trained to a strong standard.

Once you have passed your practical tests and completed Driver CPC (if required), we can begin connecting you with suitable employers. Many of our candidates start exploring opportunities shortly after receiving their licence entitlement.

Yes. If you intend to work as a professional HGV driver, you must hold a valid Driver Qualification Card (DQC).

While we cannot guarantee employment, we actively support our qualified drivers by connecting them with employers and providing guidance on CV preparation, expectations and next steps. Our goal is to help you move from training to employment as smoothly as possible, it’s what we do best.

We support drivers into a range of roles including Class 2 (Cat C) and Class 1 (C+E) positions. This can include local day work, trunking, supermarket distribution, general haulage and more, depending on location and experience.
